A foodborne illness, also foodborne disease and commonly called food poisoning, is any illness resulting from the consumption of food contaminated with infectious or toxic agents; it can affect any person.^[1] Infectious agents include pathogenic bacteria, toxins, viruses, prions or parasites. Such contamination usually arises from improper handling, preparation, or food storage. Good hygiene practices before, during, and after food preparation can reduce the chances of contracting an illness. The action of monitoring food to ensure that it will not cause foodborne illness is known as food safety. Foodborne disease can also be caused by a large variety of toxins that affect the environment

Symptoms and mortality

Symptoms typically begin several hours to several days after ingestion and depending on the agent involved, can include one or more of the following: nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, headache or tiredness. In most cases the body is able to permanently recover after a short period of acute discomfort and illness. However, foodborne illness can result in permanent health problems or even death, especially in babies, pregnant women (and their fetuses), elderly people, sick people and others with weak immune systems. Similarly, people with liver disease are especially susceptible to infections from Vibrio vulnificus, which can be found in oysters.

If symptoms occur within 1-6 hours after eating the food, it suggests that it is caused by a bacterial toxin or a chemical rather than live bacteria.

Exotoxins

In addition to disease caused by direct bacterial infection, some foodborne illnesses are caused by exotoxins which are excreted by the cell as the bacterium grows. Exotoxins can produce illness even when the microbes that produced them have been killed. Symptoms typically appear after 1-6 hours depending on the amount of toxin ingested.

• Clostridium botulinum
• Clostridium perfringens
• Staphylococcus aureus
• Bacillus cereus

For example Staphylococcus aureus produces a toxin that causes intense vomiting. The rare but potentially deadly disease botulism occurs when the anaerobic bacterium Clostridium botulinum grows in improperly canned low-acid foods and produces a powerful paralytic toxin.

Emerging foodborne pathogens There is still alot we do not know about foodborne illness. Sixty some percent of outbreaks are still caused by unknown sources.

My precious sister tired to find this blog and missed it. To think that she came and didn't notice this is the blog she had been search for makes me ROFL, LMAO and LOL. LOL. I m quite impressed by the blog search thingy. It is quite accurate actually. I typed my sis name, not even her school name, and was able to get to her friend's blog(it was actually the first search result) LOL! Maybe her name is just too unique, i dunnoe why. LOL. She tired to search mine using "yihui amkss" and ended up in st blog and this. LOL. The post on this is extremely funny i must sae. LOL. Then i decide would go around to see how many yihui are there in this world. LOL. I got 6,121 post matching my name. I change the search to a more precise 1 "chong yihui" and ended up discover that in this website, there is actually a person using my name to tag. Funny guy. BUT that is not the point. Ok, first,I think it is quite unfair to those who do not have any internet connection or limited connection like Ex-leader's.

I understand that for centuries people have been trying to deny the truth of emo especially those who are emo. They been trying all sort of way possible to confuse us. This include the changing of emo’s definition which had proved to be quite effective. So this post is dedicated to clear any doubts on emo. PLEASE DO NOT GET CONFUSE BY THE PREVIOUS POST. Lose appetite and lose weight.
Have difficulty concentrating.
Withdraw from society.
Turn to alcohol.
Think often about suicide.
Have headaches, stomach aches or other aches and pains.
Have a faster-than-normal heartbeat.
Lose interest in sex.

Take him to a doctor.
Offer him comfort and encouragement.

I have spent the last 10 mins thinkin of how to start a post. At the last second of the 10 mins, a fantastic idea came up which is to start the post the way I am doing now. And how do I know it’s the last second and the second before the last? Well, it is due to the fact that a normal human looking once he has found the answer. LOL. Yep, wat u have read so far are all craps I wrote to waste the few second of ur life. LOL.

Ok anyway I went out from 8am to 930pm. LOL. 13 hr and 30 mins. Not my record but its interesting to know how much time I can be away from my dear com. I think it must has missed me badly the time I m away. SRY COM! LOL. Anyway I should lead u all inside my memory to the interesting parts of today. Behold, the holy, the one and only…………… true account on the rotten apple!

Ex-leader may look alright like the outside of a rotten apple but.....

But he is definitely NOT!!!!


He used up my whole storage of tissue papers which is abt 4 packets!!! LOL! How can some1 who is wearing a windbreaker, and at the same time used up 4 packets of tissue paper, be alright or fine, rite? Furthermore, we study in a cold environment which makes his sick condition worse. If i were him, i would had just went home to rest or sth but instead, he continued to study(I wonder where he get the strength to do that) his physics. So tough! When asked, he sae " If i am not tough, how can i be the leader, rite? U see, ex leader is not for nothing 1 ok!" LOL! Didn't u beome leader because linda sae that leader is the slackest? LOL. Some more, even as he is sick and studying, all he thinks abt is 3*****. Sigh, sometime i really dun understand him. LOL!!! ok Lets move on.... While studying, junwei wanted to take a break to play bball which of cuz lead into the end of study session. We went to the court near hao ge ali's house. There, we, unfaithful members, ps leader and play on our own as he is sick. Poor him. I m sry leader, i would TRY not to do it again

How sad, how painful to watch ur members playing ur 2nd favorite game-bball, and u cant join in the fun. Sigh. But too bad, me and jw weren’t going to let sth like this to spoil our fun. LOL!!!!!!!! Sorry leader, again. I guess today is just not ur day. Too bad for u. Oh did i mention, our unlucky leader lost his "beloved" Italy!!! LOL!!! And the worst part is that he didn't noe when or where he lost it. LOL. That must be that most tragic event of the year. Oh so sad! hehe. One less opponent in the league, one step closer to winning.
